PG&E has a new, simplified registration process for accounts. This process updates access to customer data and improves your ability to control and share account information. These enhancements include a short, two-step registration process and will limit residential Your Account registration to one username for the authorized customer of record.
By allowing only one person to register, we can maintain appropriate protections against identity theft and fraud, while making the registration process easier.
For third parties, it is no longer possible to link to a customer account that has already been registered by, or on behalf of, the customer of record. Nor is it possible to create an additional online account.
However, customers with online accounts can still choose to share their data with an authorized third party. Authorization is granted directly through Share My Data and other sources:
